The Cods Scallops is a fine fish & chip restaurant concept that was developed by owner and chef John Molnar. Using his culinary expertise he wanted to create world-class fish & chips and showcase the incredible selection of fish & seafood our coast has to offer despite being furthest from the coast! All food is cooked fresh to order and only the best fish and shellfish landed off the boat (up to 20 species!) makes it onto the menu daily. Not only that, but all sauces, fishcakes, soup, salads, puddings and pies are home made. They’re proud to say their pies are award winning with our Steak & Scale Ale scooping the Best Chip Shop Pie title at the British Pie Awards. Diners can eat in or takeaway and have the choice of traditional fare such as battered Haddock and Cod or opt for any other fish on the menu (they have lots!) to be baked in garlic and lemon for a healthier alternative.
