Another new year upon us brings plenty of exciting new openings in and around Birmingham. Last year it seemed that there was a new opening every week in Birmingham! So its pretty hard to keep up! ATTIC BREWERY – THE BARREL STORE
Hitting their Crowd funder target, Attic Brewery will be bringing “The Barrel store” and bar to Jewellery Quarter which will bring the Attic taproom vibe and provides a great platform for making great barrel-aged beer

Brindleyplace’s former PizzaExpress building is set to be transformed into a Sports bar called “BOX” in early June. BOX is a game-changing sports bar where you can eat, drink, view, play and party.

KOBA-KO
Independent Koba-Ko have announced that they will be opening their first restaurant later this year in Kings Heath. Specialising in Japanese cuisine, Koba-Ko will serve ramen, Japanese small plates and a good variety of beer, sake and cocktails.

Bundobust will be opening their Indian street food and craft beer restaurant in Birmingham on Bennetts Hill this Summer.

EL&N CAFE
Bullring & Grand Central is set to welcome Instagrammable café “EL&N Café” later this year. It will take over one of the units in the Rotunda Square area, next to Zara bringing pink lattes, Iconic flower walls, and colourful brunches!

Legends of Digbeth Dining Club Street food scene “Cleopatras Kitchen” will be opening their very first shop in Shirley in June this year. Serving up that Middle-Eastern goodness, expect some of the best Kebabs you have ever tasted!

Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana will be opening ANOTHER restaurant, this time in Harborne taking over former Hawkshead bar on the High Street. This is their third location in Birmingham serving up that damn good pizza! Its going to be hella good!!!

TEDDY BEAR BUBBLE TEA
Teddy Bear Bubble Tea is opening its latest outlet in the former Craft inn Bar in Sutton Coldfield. It sells teas like Oreo Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea – brown sugar, Assam milk tea and tapioca, topped with crushed Oreo. And Mango or Taro Milk Teas with a ‘rich and creamy texture, with add-ons like sweet and chewy tapioca pearls.

The Mayan will be Birmingham’s first fine-dining Mexican restaurant. The menu will showcase traditional Mexican dishes with a contemporary twist. Expect a theatrical dining experience!

JUST ANNOUNCED – FUTURE OPENINGS 2023/2024
THE DEAN HOTEL, BIRMINGHAM
The Dean Hotel Birmingham includes the total refurbishment and redevelopment of Birmingham’s Grade II* Listed Central Methodist Hall on Corporation Street, in the heart of the city. The Dean Hotel will hold 150 bedrooms that will feature eight new bars and restaurants, a gym and events space. It will be the first Dean hotel outside of the Republic of Ireland.
