Veganism is growing bigger every year especially at the start of the year where Carnivores are stuffed full of turkey, buffet leftovers and so much booze they end up turning into a blooming brewery. Many like to start the new year detoxing and taking part in Veganuary. Many stick with the vegan diet, or limit down their meat content as they find their health has improved, they have done their research and don’t agree with the exploitation of animals, or maybe because January is a bleak month with nothing going on, so what else is there to do?!
I have so many people asking me about vegan restaurants in Birmingham, vegan brands in Brum and independent shops with a great variety of vegan products, It’s all about VEGAN BABY and, I’m all for it. This will also be my very first year of doing Veganuary and so I thought it would be very handy and helpful to put a little guide together featuring some great businesses that sell/serve fantastic vegan products, food, and more in Birmingham and Beyond.

VEGAN BRUNCH

Although some of these may not be entirely all vegan they do supply a variety of good vegan options for Breakfast/Brunch!

CHERRY REDS-Birmingham-Cherry Reds is one of the best places maybe even the best for Vegan breakfast and brunches, They have a fantastic variety from Pancakes to Vegan fry ups at great prices – Instagram

MEDICINE BAKERY-Birmingham-Although Medicine Bakery is not a vegan bakery it still has some great vegan and vegetarian options as well as delicious vegan bakes to take out! Visit their Instagram here

MORRIDGE-Birmingham-For a nice hearty breakfast/brunch I would 100% recommend Morridge, although not entirely vegan they can cater for vegans with some fantastic dishes and let’s not forget about their coffee, that is just amazing! Visit their Instagram here

JU JU’S CAFE-Birmingham-Another great place with fantastic vegan options from Breakfast to Dinner, Ju Ju’s is a cracking vegan winner, The veggie hash dish is a much-loved favourite of mine! Keep up to date with the latest here

WAYLANDS YARD-Birmingham Bull Street-Another favourite of mine is, of course, Waylands Yard with some great vegan dishes such as the vegan brunch, one thing I love about Waylands is that they know how to feed you! Great flavours and very generous portions! Keep up to date with the latest here
